The Philippe Vandenberg Foundation exists to help foster the critical and historical assessment of Philippe Vandenberg’s work.

Operating on both a national and international level, the Philippe Vandenberg Foundation has three main objectives. The Foundation manages the artist’s estate and studio space with the help of an extensive database. It facilitates research into his work through conferences as well as research programmes around his archives at Ghent University Library. In addition, it encourages audiences to look anew at Vandenberg’s oeuvre via an ongoing dialogue with artists, scholars, curators and the public.

With ten years of relevant expertise, the Philippe Vandenberg Foundation has developed into a research centre for the management of artist’s estates. In this capacity, it is part of a strong network of similar institutions at home and abroad.
