A Non-u-mental History of M HKA – Part 1: Foundation Gordon Matta-Clark
Between May 2 and August 29, 2021, the group exhibition A Non-u-mental History of M HKA took place in M HKA – Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen in Antwerp, Belgium. In this presentation, 34 well-known and lesser-known works were shown that helped to determine the origins and identity of M HKA. They were supplemented with relevant documents that took us back to the late 1970s and the 1980s. Philippe Vandenberg was represented by a large untitled work from 1981, donated by the artist to the Gordon-Matta-Clark Foundation, which constituted the basis for the M HKA collection.
