The correspondence between Franklin Engeln and Philippe Vandenberg

Between November 18, 2022, and January 15, 2023, the research exhibition The correspondence between Franklin Engeln and Philippe Vandenberg takes place in Convent in Ghent, Belgium. The exhibition shows the short but flourishing correspondence between artists Philippe Vandenberg and Franklin Engeln (1986-87) in dialogue with paintings and works on paper from the period. It is organized on the occasion of the publication of the same name, published by Posture Editions, which will be presented during the opening.

The exhibition is part of the multi-year research project Ghent, playing field of the visual arts (1957-1987)) (KASK & Conservatory (HOGENT – Howest)) by Godart Bakkers, Koen Brams, Wouter De Vleeschouwer, Sofie Frederix and Naninga Lens.
