About the publication:
Berlinde De Bruyckere & Philippe Vandenberg: Il me faut tout oublier is the catalogue to the duo exhibition of the same name. The exhibition was held in 2014 in La Maison Rouge, Paris. The catalogue includes a selection of paintings and works on paper by Philippe Vandenberg spanning the years 1995-2001 alongside De Bruyckere’s own sculptures and drawings. Curated by de Bruyckere herself, the exhibition confronted their oeuvres to enhance a dialogue. For La Maison Rouge, she produced seven new wax sculptures whose forms suggest tree trunks as much as bandaged bodies under duress.
